Text of Omnibus Bill Released – House Republicans released the text for a $1.3T spending bill late last night. Congress has until tomorrow to pass the legislation and avoid a third government shutdown this year. A vote is expected in the House this afternoon. You can view the text of the bill here.

Legislation:
H.R. 5367 (Rep. Andy Biggs, R-AZ): A bill to protect the “gig economy” and small businesses that operate in large part through contractor services from the threat of costly class action litigation, and for other purposes. Text not available yet.

Regulations:
Proposed Rule on Small Business Size Standards: SBA is seeking public input to assist in establishing a permanent alternative size standard for its 7(a) and 504 Loan Programs. SBA also invites suggestions on sources of relevant data and information that SBA should evaluate in developing a permanent alternative size standard and assessing its impact. The comment period ends May 21, 2018.
