NDAA Watch – Yesterday, the House passed the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) by a vote of 359-54. The Senate is expected to vote on the measure next week.

Legislation:
• H.R. 6610 (Rep. Grace Meng, D-NY): To reauthorize the Interagency Committee on Women’s Business Enterprise
• H.R. 6565 (Rep. Andre Carson, D-IN): To amend the Small Business Act to provide for contracting preferences and other benefits for emerging business enterprises.
• H.R. 6603 (Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, R-MO): To amend the FAST Act to ensure that certain veteran small businesses are eligible for funding as small business concerns.
• H.R. 6579 (Rep. Pete Aguilar, D-CA): To amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 to provide no interest deferment eligibility for certain small business concerns, and for other purposes.
