SBA Announces FY2014 PRIME TA Grant Opportunity

June 6, 2014 – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced the FY2014 notice of grant opportunity for the Program for Investment in Microentrepreneurs (PRIME).

The full announcement and application package are available on www.Grants.gov under “PRIME-2014-01.”

For FY2014, a total amount of $3,500,000 in grant funding is available for the PRIME Program. The SBA expects to make approximately 40 awards. For Track I (Technical Assistance) and Track II (Capacity Building), the SBA anticipates grants will be in the range of $50,000 to $250,000. For Tack III (Research & Development), the SBA anticipates the availability of up to $350,000. For all grant awards, the SBA requires a 50 percent matching contribution, however, the SBA may reduce or eliminate this requirement in certain circumstances.

Each Applicant is required to submit its proposal electronically via www.Grants.gov no later than 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on July 14, 2014.
