AEO Exchange Webinar: The Business of Food
"Buy Local" is a powerful economic strategy that is creating jobs, forging vibrant communities and revitalizing Main Streets throughout the country. On Tuesday, November 30 at 1:oo p.m. EST/ 10:00 a.m. PST, two trailblazers in the "Buy Local" movement, Leslie Schaller and Natalie Woodroofe, will share their experience building strong, regional brands. We hope you will join us for this discussion of "The Business of Food."
In this session, Schaller and Woodroofe will discuss how the food and farm businesses they have worked with have built successful regional brands through local channels and economies, which include farmers markets, food festivals, agri-tourism and market partnerships with retailers. They will share their experience with two branding strategies in rural Appalachia Ohio: "Food We Love" and the "30 Mile Meal." You will learn how these two successful campaigns have increased sales, collaboration and community cohesion for food, farm, artisan and tourism entrepreneurs and how you can replicate programs in your community.
