One In Three is catching on.  Today, I spoke at the White House’s New Orleans Urban Entrepreneurship Forum hosted by New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu and the White House’s Michael Blake.  I discussed ways to unleash the Power of One in Three as a speaker on the “Unleashing Ideas: Barriers and Challenges to Urban Entrepreneurs” panel.

Youth Entrepreneurship Education: Growing the Next Generation of Business Owners

In July I attended National Journal’s Innovation Works Conference in Washington, DC. This conference pledged to look at the link between new cutting-edge innovations and the public policy environment that incubates these new technologies.

The most interesting conversations of the day focused on the role that education can play in propelling America into the future. There was a strong focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) education, a subject that President Obama is extremely passionate about and has made a top priority for this Administration.

AEO June Policy Update

June was a busy and exciting month for AEO.  On June 2nd the AEO Policy Team met at the White House with Administration officials to discuss microbusiness issues, including access to capital and the importance of technical assistance.  The following week, AEO was invited to participate in the White House’s Investing in Urban Entrepreneurs Summit hosted by Rutgers University.  AEO’s Tammy Halevy, Senior Vice President, participated on a panel discussion entitled, “Creating Funding/Financing Urban Entrepreneurs.”  Then, on June 16th, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government …
